Justin Bieber to play heartthrob Finnick Odair in the bestselling sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire.

Since the worldwide success of the first installment of the franchise earlier this year, fans have been on edge to discover who will play much loved character Finnick Odair. Rumor has it that the worlds favorite young pop singer Justin Bieber will be continuing his acting career in the sequel due to be released November 2013. The Canadian-born Bieber says of the offer, “I was so pumped when I got the call from my manager saying (Francis) Lawrence had been in touch”. He beat out popular Finnick choices for the role such as Armie Hammer, Zac Efron and Garrett Hedlund. Further rumors have reported that his pop sensation girlfriend of over a year, Selena Gomez is also in consideration to play Odair’s love interest - Annie Cresta.
